Justin Dennis
The Charterhouse
Justin Dennis joined the Charterhouse in 2023 as Head of Landscape, where he manages the horticulture of the historic Clerkenwell estate. This includes the public Charterhouse Square and the private courtyard gardens, which enjoyed by the alsmhouse residents and open to the public during seasonal tours and garden evenings.Justin’s previous horticultural experience includes roles at the Crown Estate Paving Commission, the American Embassy and Ambassador’s Residence in London, and the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
The Charterhouse has partnered with PLT for over three years, most recently as part of the Clerkenwell Pollinator Pathway. This initiative aims to connect green spaces across the area to improve forage and nesting sites for native bees and pollinators within Islington—one of the UK’s least green boroughs. This partnership has informed the Horticulture team’s management of the gardens and square, ensuring the estate provides a functional environment for residents, visitors and local wildlife.
