PLT's Equinox Dinner at Grocers' Hall
On the evening of 23rd September, Pollinating London Together (PLT) hosted a delightful Equinox dinner at the stunning Grocers Hall. The event brought together members, friends, and colleagues to celebrate the significant strides we’ve made in promoting the importance of pollinators in our ecosystem and to hear our guest speaker Professor Phil Stevenson from Royal Botanic Kew.
As guests arrived, they were greeted with pre-dinner cocktails, generously sponsored by Aberfeldy, Martini and St Germain. Thanks go to The Worshipful Company of Distiller for organising.
The atmosphere was lively and friendly as we gathered in Grocers Hall, an appropriate setting for the event.
The Master Grocer, Guy Chisenhale-Marsh, formally welcomed us to Grocers’ Hall as we gathered for dinner who set the tone for the night by highlighting the rich history of the hall and the vital work, we are all committed to.
Our Chairman, John Burton, then took the stage to reflect on the remarkable achievements of PLT since our launch dinner here three years ago. It was inspiring to hear how our collective efforts are making a real difference in the fight to protect our pollinators.
After a delicious meal, expertly crafted by Chef Graham Pratt and his dedicated team at Grocers Hall, we were treated to a passionate address by Professor Phil Stevenson from Kew Gardens. He spoke eloquently about the critical role of pollinators in our ecosystems and the urgent need to address their decline. Professor Stevenson’s insights reinforced the importance of PLT’s mission to collect data and raise awareness about these essential creatures.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible team at Grocers Hall for their impeccable service and the unforgettable dining experience they provided. The evening was beautifully complemented by biodynamic wines, generously sponsored enhancing the flavours of Chef Pratt’s exquisite dishes.
As we enjoyed the company of fellow advocates for pollinator health, it became clear that our community is stronger than ever.
Together, we are not just celebrating the beauty of nature but actively working to protect it for future generations.
